Is this a training platform on how to do technical analysis or for novice traders?

In general, no. This is for professional traders, but instruction is given on how to use the analysis optimally, and also on other aspects outside of the analysis that are useful intra-day.
Are these calls very short term?

No, it is rare to have more than 5-7 signals in a given market per day, but you could have many more as you look across the spectrum of what is covered, and have plenty of significant actionable trades.
